Kali, known as Arnis or Escrima, is a martial art native to Philippines and it is composed by more systems, depending on which school of thought the master belongs to.
The effectiveness of this system is well known and widely proven, also by historiographical documents. Even nowadays the excellence of this art is appreciated by many U.S. special forces and it has been introduced in “close combat systems”.
In our program fundamentals coming from different systems are present, even if the study of Senior Master Rodelo Ubaldo’s Laguna Kali-Arnis- Sikaran predominates above the others. The school’s goal is that the student could master one or more weapons, with empty hands and on different distances.
Kali reveals to be a very versatile system, indeed, once approached with the philosophy of this, even a common object becomes a real weapon and every movement done using weapons transforms into a universal movement, perfectly applicable with empty hands.
